Inside lives

A frog.

 

Not a dog.

Or a horse.

 

Of course

No tiger

 

Or spider.

Just me

 

And Froggie.

Do you know

 

How frogs grow?

How they begin

 

Learn to swim

Without legs

 

In the dregs

Of the pond?

 

I am fond

Of this stage

 

Their young age

And then they grow old

 

Grow legs

Grow bold

 

Jump right out

Onto land

 

Give a shout
